Common questions.
What does a mini-split tune-up cost?
$199 for the first indoor unit, plus $49 for each additional indoor unit. No hidden fees.
How long does it take?
About 1 hour for a single-zone system. Multi-zone systems take longer depending on the number of indoor units.
When is the best time to get a mini-split tune-up?
Spring or fall — before you're switching modes. That said, it's worth doing anytime if it hasn't been done in the last 12 months.
What's included?
A complete inspection of your outdoor condenser and all indoor air handlers, refrigerant levels, electrical connections, capacitors, fan motors, drain lines, and safety controls. We clean outdoor condenser coils, indoor air handler filters, indoor coil check, and condensate drain lines. We test every unit, and tell you exactly what we found.
Does my mini-split need refrigerant?
It shouldn't. A properly functioning system doesn't consume refrigerant. If your system is low, that means there's a leak. We'll find it, tell you what it costs to fix, and let you decide how to proceed. No pressure.
Why is one of my indoor units not cooling or heating properly?
Most common causes are dirty filters, low refrigerant, a clogged drain line, or a failing component. A tune-up catches all of these. If something's found we'll give you a straight quote to fix it.
How often should I get a mini-split tune-up?
Once a year. Mini-splits run year-round in most homes, so annual maintenance is especially important. It extends the life of your system, keeps it running efficiently, and helps you avoid emergency repairs.
Is a filter included?
No. Filters are available at an additional cost. If you need one, we'll let you know and won't surprise you with the charge.
Do you service all brands of mini-splits?
Yes. We service all major brands including Mitsubishi, Daikin, LG, Fujitsu, and others. If you're not sure, just ask.
